THE ROLE
The Marketing Development Assistant is responsible for specific marketing activities across print, social, and digital channels in addition to supporting marketing campaigns and the inside sales department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out the initiatives of the Marketing Manager and assist in the creation of the following:
- Film and edit video content for our 30 on 3D series, customer case studies, and other marketing initiatives
- Create blog content, utilizing excellent copywriting skills
- Update copy on the Purple Platypus and Purple Porcupine websites
- Create print marketing assets, such as brochures, post cards, and print advertisements
- Design digital marketing banners for email campaigns, events, and the Purple Platypus and Purple Porcupine websites
- Utilize Hootsuite to manage Purple Platypus’ and Purple Porcupine’s social media platforms, including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- Support the marketing team through event advertising and preparation
Carry out the initiatives of the Sales Operations Manager and assist with the following:
- Maintain the daily work flow of Purple Platypus’s Sales Engineers through account management and by supporting customers
- Track, report, and analyze sales data
- Work with clients to identify needs
- Support the sales team during in-house events and trade shows
- Receptionist duties: answering, routing all incoming calls, taking messages, and greeting clients
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Excellent design capabilities using Adobe CC, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premier
- Previous sales or customer service experience required
- Experience with WordPress preferred
- Experience with SEO and PPC through Google Ads is a plus
- Provides high quality work and excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational and analytical skills
